Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Shahjahan Kamal on Sunday said his ministry will form a monitoring team soon for bringing more transparency in license issuing process for the travel agencies.
“We will also take step in bringing amendment to the law related to owner shifting procedure of travel agencies,” he said while exchanging views with leaders of Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) at the secretariat here.
Kamal said his ministry has already initiated the license issuing process through online so that applicants can get the license in an easy and transparent way.
Praising the role of ATAB in expediting the country’s economic activities as well as flourishing tourism, the new minister urged all stakeholders of aviation and tourism industry to cooperate him for bringing further dynamism in the ministry’s activities.
ATAB president Monjur Morshed Mahbub and Secretary General Abdus Salam Aref, among others, were present on the occasion.
