Former Satkania MP and Jamaat-e-Islami leader Shahjahan Chowdhury, who was arrested on charges of inciting and inciting Hifazat-e-Islam violence in Hathazari, has been remanded for three days.The remand was granted by Chittagong Senior Judicial Magistrate Shahriar Iqbal’s court on Saturday (May 15th) at noon.
Additional Superinte-ndent of Police (DSB) of Chittagong District Abdullah Al Masum said that Jamaat leader Shahjahan Chowdhury has been shown arrested in three cases of Hathazari police station. In one case of Hathazari police station, an application was made to the court for a 7-day remand. The court granted a three-day remand after the hearing.
