Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has appointed Engineer Shahinul Islam Khan as its new Chairman by replacing Md Abduhu Ruhullah.
His appointment will be effective from Thursday, says a press release.
Prior, he was BPDB’s member of production.
After completion his Engineering degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1979 he joined BPDB’s Construction Division as Assistant Engineer.
He worked as Deputy-Divisional Engineer in 18 City Electricity Distribution Construction Division-6, Mymensingh and System Loss Reduction Scheme Division, Dhaka.
Engr Shahinul Islam Khan worked as Executive Engineer in Ashuganj Combined Cycle Electricity Centre, Central Utility Repairing Factory, Diesel Generation Dhaka.
He worked as Chief Engineer in Distribution Zones of Sylhet and Chittagong and Solar Street Lighting Programme in City Corporation Project.
