Shahiduzzaman Selim to get special honour in Canada

Entertainment Report :Toronto Film Festival is scheduled to be held from May 14 to 18 in Canada. In this festival, world premier of a movie titled Bapjaner Biscope, directed by Riazul Riju, will be held in category of ‘South Asian Culture.’ To attend the festival, from Bangladesh noted actor and director Shahiduzzaman Selim is going to Canada on May 13. Only Selim is going to Canada to represent the movie Bapjaner Bioscope. He will be present during the world premier of the movie. Shahiduzzaman Selim will receive special honour from two organisations there. In Toronto, he will get the honour from Sammilito Sangskritik Jote under management of Shahid Rahman. In Montreal, Selim will also get another honour from Udichi under Anwar Azad’s management. While sharing his feelings in this regard Selim told this correspondent, “For the first time I am going to Canada. For this reason, I am feeling well. In the meantime, my acted movie will be premiered in the festival and I will receive special honour from two cultural organisations. I am really grateful to them who will give me honour. Right now I am specially missing my mother.”Masum Reza has written story and dialogue of 127-minute movie Bapjaner Bioscope. Masum Reza and Riazul Riju have jointly written its script. Now Selim’s acted and Nazrul Islam Razu’s directed serial Lake Drive Lane is being telecasted on NTV now. Therefore, he is making movie Ek Jhak Jonaki by himself. Therefore, he has already started acting in Dipankar Dipon’s serial Grandmaster. Recently Selim’s acted and Sohel Arman’s directed movie Eito Prem was released. For the first time, Selim got the national film to act in movie Chorabali, directed by Redoan Roni.
