National Film Award winner actor and director Shahiduzzaman Selim is regularly acting in both small and big screen simultaneously. Right now he has six films in his hands. Of those films, Selim’s acted and Sohel Arman’s directed a film titled Eito Prem is going to release on Friday.
Therefore, Selim has also acted in Nader Chowdhury’s Lalchor, Riazul Riju’s Bapjaan-er Bioscope, Tonmoy Tansen’s Padmo Patar Jol, Himel Ashraf’s Sultana Bibiana and Alvi Ahmed’s U-Turn.
In all these films, Shahiduzzaman Selim acted in important roles. In the film Eito Prem, Selim acted in role of Surjo, step brother of hero Shakib Khan. He will be seen in role of a clerk in the film.
While talking about these films Selim told this correspondent, “I have recently worked in six films where all of my roles were different to each other. Somewhere I acted in role of 65 years old man, while some other places I performed in role of less than 60 years. But most of my roles were negative. Viewers will get exceptionality in my roles in those films. For the last three years several films are being made to cast senior actors of the small screen. These films became hit. If this situation will continue our film industry will get beneficiary from them.”
It may be mentioned that Shahiduzzaman Selim’s acted first film was Ekattor-er Jishu and last film was Zahidur Rahim Anjan’s Meghmallar. Later he acted in Abdullah Al Mamun’s Bihongo, Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Made In Bangladesh, Murad Parvez’s Chandragrahan, Chashi Nazrul Islam’s Devdas and Redoan Roni’s Chorabali. To perform in Chorabali, Selim got the National Film Award.
Meanwhile, recently Selim has started shooting of a new drama serial titled Ek Jhak Jonaki.
Already shooting of 13 epiosdes of the serial have been done. Mansur Rahman Chanchal has written story of the serial.
Therefore, Selim’s acted new drama serial titled Lake Drive Lane is being telecasted on NTV now.
For the last week he was engaged with shooting of Dipankar Dipon’s serial Grand Master.
