Shaheen College and Police Line qualify for national round

BAF Shaheen College and Police Line High School emerged champions in the Dhaka and Mymenshingh division of the Clear Men U-17 Bangladesh Football Championship held on Thursday.
In the day’s matches, BAF Shaheen College beat Mohammadpur Govt High School by 3-2 in a penalty shootout held at Uttara Friends Club ground in Dhaka while Police Line High School blanked Mahila Samity Udayan High School by 3-0 goals held in Mymensingh Circuit House ground.
Nearly 270 teams from the entire country have registered for the football tournament featured by Clear Men.
The champions and runners-up teams from each eight division got the ticket for the national round that will begin on April 29.
Earlier, in six divisions – Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, and Chattogram – 12 schools earned the tickets for the national round.
The qualifiers are Sonadighi High School and Jamira High School in Rajshahi division, Rangpur Zilla Schook and Haragach Bohumukhi High School in Rangpur, Bagerhat Bohumukhi Collegiate School and Rupsa Bohumukhi High School in Khulna, Baptist Mission Boys High School and Government Technical School Pirojpur in Barisal, Sirajuddin Ahmed Academy and Progoti High School in Sylhet, and Patenga High School and TSP Complex School in Chattogram.
