A Shaheed Minar was inaugurated at compound of Polytechnic Institute in Chapainawabganj on Thursday.
A H M Abdur Rakib, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Chapainawabganj inaugurated the Shaheed Minar as Chief Guest.
Humayun Kabir Khan, principal of the Polytechnic institute presided over the function. Among others, engineer A J M Masudur Rahman, vice principal of Polytechnic institute, its chief instructor engineer Shahidul Islam, Ziaur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of sadar model police station, DIO-1 SM Zakaria, engineer Saiful Islam of department of facilities , Instructors Azizur Rahman and Jasimuddin and junior instructor Salahuddin.

A young man was brutally killed by his rivals at Maizchar Khilpara in Bajitpur upazila of Kishoreganj on Thursday morning.
The victim was identified as Haris Miah (24) son of Md. Hanif Miah at Maizchar in Bajitpur Upazila of Kishoreganj.
Bajitpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khalilur Rahman told the News Nation that receiving on information, police rushed to the spot and dead body recovered.
