The 46th death anniversary of Shaheed Lt. Col. (Dr.) N A M Jahangir will be observed today( Thursday).
During the war of liberation, the Pakistani Army brutally killed him along with fellow officers and soldiers on this day as he was the Commanding Officer of the then ’40 Field Ambulance’ Stationed in Comilla Cantonment.
In commemoration, various programmes have been chalked out: Reminisce Ceremony and a ‘Doa-Mahfil’ at 31 Field Ambulance, Comilla Cantonment, his last working place. Another Doa-mehfil will be held on tomorrow Friday (March 31, 2017) after ‘Jumma’ Prayers, at ‘Thana-Masjid’ of Pangsha Upazila, Rajbari, his ancestral home.
