The biennial election of Uttara 10 No Sector Kalyan Samity was held at its office in the city on Monday. In the election former Chief Whip Vice-Principal Md Abdus Shaheed and Relief and Social Welfare Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, Tangail Zilla Committee Insaf Ali Osmani have been elected President and Secretary respectively of the samity.
The other executive members are : Vice-presidents-Nurul Alam, former MP Israt Sultana Elen Bhutto, Lt Col (Retd) Furuque Husain, former MP Sarder Abdur Rashid, Engineer Ranjan Kumar Banik, Joint General Secretaries- Kazi Md Ferdous and Shah Alam Sarker, Finance Secretary-Foez Ahmed, Organising Secretary-Engr Harpada Roy, Security Affairs Secretary-Lt Col (Retd) Ershad Hossain, Publicity and Office Secretary- Mahbubur Rahman Talukder, Cultural and Education Affairs Secretary-Shah Newaz Dilruba Khan, International Affairs Secretary-Enamul Haque and Social Welfare and Women Affairs Secretary-Shahinur Afroza.
Other members are-Abdul Ali, Major (Retd) Abdul Mukit Chowdhury, Dr Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Abdullah Al Mamun, Engr. Golam Ahmed and Nazrul Islam, among others.
