Pacer Shahadat Hossain cannot play in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, which is scheduled to be held from April 22. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has banned Shahadat Hossain as the pacer was accused of torture of house worker.
BCB could not lift his suspension as his case was not solved.
The meeting of the disciplinary committee of BCB was held on Saturday. The Committee could not allow him to play in upcoming cricket competition as he was not cleared by court.
Any participating team did not include him in their squad in the recently concluded players’ draft programme.
Chief Executive Officer of BCB Nizam Uddin Chowdhury Sujan said, ” Matter of Shahadat Hossain has not decided by the court yet. If the court dismiss his case then BCB will lift his suspension.”
