Sports Reporter :Pacer Shafiul Islam left the city on Monday night for Australia. Shafiul was not included in the final squad of Bangladesh. He was a stand-by. He was frustrated as he was not included in the final squad of Bangladesh.Pacer Al-Amin Hossain was discharged as he breached code of conduct of BCB and also ICC in Australia. Thus Al-Amin Hossain sent back to Bangladesh. Before leaving the city for Australia, Shafiul Islam said, “I am astonished as I get chance suddenly. Now I have also responsibility. If I get chance in the main XI, I shall try to give my best.”He said, “I have gotten chance instead of Al-Amin Hossain. I want to perform as I can.”Shafiul Islam picked up 58 wickets playing 52 ODI matches. His bowling average is 36.36.
