Shafiq Tuhin is country’s one of the prominent lyricists and musicians of present time. He has earned the National Film Award as the Best Lyricist in 2011. He got the Citycell-Channel i Music Award for three times – in 2006, 2011 and 2013.
He has written thousand of songs and composed more than 200 songs as a music composer till now.
Shafiq Tuhin was born on July 27 in 1975 in Chuadanga. Son of M A Sabur and Halima Khatun Shafiq Tuhin passed SSC exam from Keru High School and HSC from Dhaka Science College. Later he completed Master degree from University of Dhaka. Er beshi Bhalobasha jai na, Surjo muchki hashey, Joley joley jonaki, Tomar chokh-er anginai, Paglami Susmita and Anyorokom bhalobasha are Shafiq Tuhin’s mentionable popular songs.
Swapno Ebong Tumi, Er Beshi Bhalobasha Jai Na (Video), Shafiq Tuhin Dot Com, Paglami and Pobitro Prem are Shafiq Tuhin’s released musical albums.
Meanwhile in 2011, Shafiq Tuhin published his written a book titled Er Beshi Bhalobasha Jai Na.
However, Shafiq Tuhin got many awards till now in his musical career. He got the National Film Award in 2011, Bangladesh Chalachitra Sangbadik Samity (BCSS) Award in 2002, Bangladesh Television Reporters Unity Award, Bangladesh Cultural Reporters Association (BCRA) Award in 2003, CJFB Award in 2004, Binodon Bichitra Performance Award in 2011 and Television Reporters Association Award in 2007.
Basically Shafiq Tuhin is now working as lyricist, music director and singer in the country’s music industry.
