Shabnur and Purnima are two popular actresses in Dhaka film arena. Both of them have already got the National Film Award for single time. Shabnur got the National Award for acting in Mostafizur Rahman Manik’s movie Dui Noyon-er Alo. On the other hand, Purnima received the award for Kazi Hayat’s Ora Amake Bhalo Hotey Dilona. Both of them worked together in three films.
After a break of few years, these two popular actresses met together in a programme. They took part in open discussion with each other and also caught in a common frame.
While talking about Purnima Shabnur told this correspondent, “We worked together in several numbers of movies. If I would manage time we could do more. If there is time consideration we can work together again. All are dependent on the story and our roles. Purnima is a good actress. Now she is doing well in hosting. She is representing on behalf of our film industry, we should feel proud of it.”
While talking about Shabnur Purnima said, “I really like to act with Shabnur Apu. She is really a top class actress. It is really a great luck for me to get the opportunity to work with her. There is few number of actresses like her who came in our film industry.”
Meanwhile, Purnima recently took part in shooting of Maasranga TV’s cooking related reality show Shera Radhuni. Now she is staying at a resort in Gazipur to take part it’s shooting.
Purnima and Shabnur acted commercially most successful movie was FI Manik’s Swami Strir Juddho. Late hero Manna acted against them in this film.
Therefore, Shabnur gave her voice for a play-back song for Mostafizur Rahman Manik’s movie Eto Prem Eto Maya under Pritom’s music composition. She will finish its shooting soon. Last Friday Shabnur acted and late MM Sarkar directed movie Pagol Manush was released.
