Noted actress of the 60’s Shabnam has been a part of both Bangladeshi and Pakistani movies. She rose to fame with the Urdu movie Chanda after which she never had to look back. She is now residing in Lahore, Pakistan and is staying in a friend’s residence. The veteran actress said over the phone on Thursday, “I came here for a vacation but I can’t return now due to Covid-19 restrictions. My return ticket was confirmed for July 26 but all travel has been restricted for now.” Three months ago, Shabnam reached the country and stayed at a fan’s place, after which she had the opportunity to meet many friends and well-wishers there. In her illustrious career spanning 50 years, Shabnam has acted in over 180 movies, gaining fame both home and abroad. She had started her journey
with the movie Harano Din in 1961, after which she did not have to look back.
Her last memorable role was in the blockbuster movie Ammajaan.
