Legendary film actress Shabnam studied in Nari Sikkha Mandir School at Hatkhola Road in the capital. During that time Preety was one of her close friends. After completing school education there was no communication between Shabnam and Preety. Last 50 years they couldn’t see each other.
Last week Shabnam met Preety’s younger sister in the city’s Gulshan area’s a shopping mall. Then she found her old friend. After taking Preety’s mobile number Shabnam called her. Shabnam became delighted after talking with her 50 years old friend. Later they met and now they in touch with each other regularly.
While sharing her feelings to find her school friend Shabnam told this correspondent, “I thought I couldn’t find Preety or to get the scope to talk with her. Only God’s wish my desire has been fulfilled. Preety is like a new chapter in my life. Sometimes I feel bad I talk with her.”
Today is birthday of Shabnam. But she will celebrate the day simply. Few days ago, Shabnam’s husband noted music director of the Subcontinent Robin Ghosh was died. “After Robin’s demise, I really became lonely though my only son Roni is with me all-time. But I always search Robin. In fact, I don’t know how I will pass the rest of my life without him,” Shabnam said.
In 1998, Shabnam last acted in kazi Hayat’s movie Aammajan. She acted in role of late hero Manna’s mother in the movie.
