Noted Bangladeshi filmmaker Shabanam Ferdous’s debut feature movie Ajob Karkhana got nomination for the
prestigious Asia Select (NETPAC Award) at the 27th Kolkata International Film Festival. The festival will be held in Kolkata from January 7 to January 14, 2022.
Ajob Karkhana received the national movie grant in the 2016-17 fiscal year. Produced by filmmaker and media personality Samia Zaman, the film stars prominent Indian actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Dilruba Hossain Doyel, Shabnaz Sadia Emi, Khalid Hasan Rumi and others.
Ajob Karkhana will have its premiere at the Bangladeshi Panorama section of the 20th Dhaka International Film Festival in January, 2022. The movie revolves around a rock star who finds new purpose of life after meeting Baul musicians.
