Legendary film actress Shabana on Monday met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for seeking better treatment of noted ailing film director Azizur Rahman. Husband of Shabana Wahid Sadek, President of Film Direcors’ Association Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar and film actress Moushumi were also present with Shabana during their meeting.
While sharing her feelings after meeting Prime Minister Shabana told this correspondent over mobile phone, “From my childhood I have been attached with acting in big screen. During that time I worked in late Ehtesham’s movie Notun Sur Azizur Rahman was his assistant. From that time I am calling him Baba. Still I respect him like my father who is now under treatment in Singapore which is now become difficult to afford his treatment most. For this reason, I went to the Prime Minister to request her to give financial assistance to the ailing director. Prime Minister assured me in this regard and I am grateful to her. Everybody pray for Azizur Rahman’s early recovery.”
