Seychelles, the East African tourism rich country is becoming the new destination of Bangladeshi manpower.
A draft of Agreement of Labour Cooperation (ALC) was signed in this regard in a Inter-Ministry meeting in the Board Room of the Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry on Sunday.
Rounok Zahan, the Acting Secretary of the above said Ministry presided over the meeting.
The Acting Secretary said, “New destinations of our manpower export are opening after the success diplomatic efforts of the
government.” Rounok Zahan said, “The effort will open new potentials of overseas employment and increase of remittance.”
Sources said, there are three categories of demands for foreign manpower in Seychelles.
The first category including tourism, constructions, agriculture, factories, fisheries, financial and security services. In the second category, there are business sector and services to the older aged people and the third category are house maids.
Director General of Manpower, Employment and Training Bureau Selim Reza, Executive Director of Boiesel, Yamin Akbari, Joint Secretary of the Ministry. Fazlul Karim, Md. Jahangir Alam, Nasrin Jahan, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry Monir Hossain Chowdhury and Dr. Masuma Parvin, among others, were present.
