Police recovered the body of an sexagenarian man from a pond at Goabari village of Baghmara upazila on Friday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Anisur Rahman, 60, son of late Mohir Uddin, a resident of the village.
Locals spotted the body, wrapped in a sack, floating in a pond in the afternoon and informed police, said Nasim Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Baghmara Police Station.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
