Eight Sewing machines were distributed in seven union parishads of Damudya upazilla under Shariatpur district. A distribution program was arranged in this regard at the 2nd floor of office of the Local Government Engineering Department.
Damudya Upazila Chairman Alamgir Hossen Majhee was the chief guest at the event with Upazilla Nirbahi Officer Murtoza Al Mueed in the chair. Upazilla Female Vice Chairman Khadiza Khanom Lovely, Engineer of the Upazilla Md. Rafiqul Islam spoke on the occasion. Upazilla Women Affairs Officer Fatema Nahian moderated the program.

Salma Begum of Adashon village under Shidholkura union, a recipient of sewing machine said, ‘I will make clothes of my own and others, and thus can earn money for myself.
