Sewing machines were distributed among the poor and unemployed women of Sadar upazila in the district under the initiative of Grameen Jano Unnayan Sangstha, a non-government organization of the district yesterday.
District Animal Resources Officer Dr Indrajit Kumar Mandal distributed the vsewing machines free of cost at a programme held at the head office of the organization in Charnoabad area this afternoon as the chief guest. Executive director of the Grameen Jano Unnayan Sangstha Zakir Hossain Moin presided over the programme.
