Knee-deep water in the rain has caused severe waterlogging in the low lying areas of Chittagong. Drainage is blocked due to under construction dams in drains and canals.
As a result, ordinary people have to suffer.
Various areas of the city were inundated with rain since dawn on Wednesday (June 30). As the roads and canals became monotonous in the water, rickshaws overturned and accidents took place in different places. It can be seen on the spot that various areas of Bahaddarhat, Gate No. 2, Muhammadpur, Muradpur, Sholashahar, Kapasgola, Chaktai, Bakalia, DC Road, Rahmatganj, Halishahar, Chandgaon of the city were submerged in the rain. Knee-deep water submerged most low lying areas.
