Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) will honour country’s seven noted personalities in seven categories by giving Shilpakala Award 2015 at a function to be held at the National Theatre Hall Auditorium of BSA in the city’s Segunbagicha area on May 5.
The awards will be given to Saleha Chowdhury in dance, Nadira Begum in folk culture, Kazi Borhanuddin in drama, Sujeyo Shyam in instrumental music, Nikhil Sen in recitation, Syed Abul Barq Alvi in fine arts and Mihir Kumar Nandi in vocal music categories. President Md Abdul Hamid will distribute the awards in the programme as the chief guest. The programme is scheduled to be held at 3:00pm. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor MP will be present as Special Guest, while Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry Aktari Momtaz will presided over the session. Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky will give the welcome speech on the occasion.
Therefore, on behalf of the BSA a crest will be given to the President in the programme.
