Seven players are sharing leads in the points table after 4th round games in the International Mother Language Day International Rating Chess tournament now being held at Sonargaon Upazila Parisad auditorium.
They are GM Ziaur Rahman of Sheikh Russel Memorial Sporting Club, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahma of Janata Bank Officers Welfare Society, CM Sohel Chowdhury of Titas Club, M Siddiqur Rahman of Esoft Arena, Nayan Kumar Mohanto of Uttara Central Chess Culb, M Abdul Momin of Sonali Bank Sports and Recreation Club and M Jamal Uddin of Sheikh Russel Chess Club.
FM Mohamman Fahad Rahman of Access Chess Club, Shawkat Bin Osman Shaon of Hasan Memorial Chess Club and P.J. Bakul Barua of Fire Service and Civil Defense Sports Club shared the second position with 3.5 points.
In the day’s 4th round games were held today, GM Zia beat Gias Uddin Mithu, FM Emon beat Hadiuzzaman, CM Sohel beat M Nasim Hossain Bhuiyan, Siddique beat Feroz Ahmed, Jamal beat Mohammad Manik, Nayan beat Faisal Hossain, Momin beat Faysal Hossain Bappy, FM Fahad got walk-over against Shahnaz Mohammad Faruque, Shaon beat Jodunath Biswas, M Sariatullah split points with Indian Nikhil Magizhnan and Anisujjaman Mullick drew with Badrul Alam.
