Seven killed in road accidents

Seven people including four female workers and a couple, were killed in several road accidents in Kushtia, Bagerhat and Manikganj districts on Monday morning.
In Kushtia, four female day labourers were killed and three others injured as a truck hit a human hauler in Bottoil area of the district town on Monday morning. The deceased were identified as Kamala, 40, Sukhijan, 35,
Sajiran Khatun, 40 and Rabeya Khatun, 40, all residents of Laxmipur village in Sadar upazila.
Proloy Chishim, superintendent of Kushtia Police, said the accident took place in the area around 7:30am when the truck hit the human hauler (local name as Nasimon) in the area, leaving four passengers of the human hauler dead on the spot and three other injured.
On information police recovered the bodies. Police also sized the truck. In Bagerhat, A motorcyclist and his wife were killed as a pick-up van hit the motorcycle in Piljongo area of Fakirhat upazila on Monday morning.
