Staff Reporter :Police have arrested seven persons, including two prime suspects, in connection with the Keraniganj gruesome four murder from Munshiganj and Gazipur districts. In separate drives, the cop members arrested them from Thursday night and early Friday. .The arrested two prime suspects have been identified as Jakarial alias Joni 26, and Sumon alias CN Sumon, 30, a auto-rickshaw driver. The other members, who were arrested, are Abdul Majid 25, a shopkeeper, Rafiq (32), a baby-taxi driver, Rani Begum 25, wife of Sumon, Mukta Begum (25), sister of Sumon, Shaheda Akhter Ambia (36), mother of Joni, police said.Dhaka district Police Super (SP) Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter in a press conference at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media center on Minto Road in the capital on Friday.The police official said that a special team of cop conducted simultaneous drives in different areas of Dhaka and its outskirts districts following information and arrested them.. According to him, Jonny was arrested from his home at village Kathalbari under Srinagar police station in Munshiganj around 3:00am, while Sumon from a house at Mirzapur Bazar in Gazipur around 4:30am.The deceased Saju was the ringleader of the dacoit team that used to commit robbery in different places of the country. Saju’s hometown is at Sarikanda village under Debiganj upazila in Panchagarh district.
