SEU organises seminar on rural development

Campus Report :The Department of Economics of Southeast University (SEU) organised a seminar on “Rural Development in Bangladesh: Opportunities and Challenges” at the Seminar Hall of the university on Thursday. Prof Dr Anwar Hossain, Vice Chancellor of the university presided over the seminar. Eminent economist Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairman, Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and Dhaka School of Economics (DScE) was the chief guest and the principal speaker of the seminar. Prof Dr Md Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University was the special guest of the seminar. Prof Dr Md Abdul Hakim, Dean (Acting), School of Arts and Social Sciences welcomed the guests.Six students of the department of Economics presented the experiences of rural development in Bangladesh covering British, Pakistan and Bangladesh periods. The Deans, Chairs, Faculty Members, officers and students of the university attended the seminar.
