The Walton Mobile 5th Services Men’s and Women’s Wrestling Competition begins today (Monday) at the Paltan Kabadi Stadium in the capital.
Men and women wrestlers, split in eight weight categories each, from four services teams — Army, Ansar and VDP, Border Guard Bangladesh, and Police — will compete in the two-day meet.
Men’s group weight categories are 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 86, 97 and 125Kg while that of women’s group are 48, 53, 55, 58, 60, 63, 69 and 75Kg.
Each group champion team will receive Tk 15,000 and the runners-up team Tk 10,000 while two best wrestlers of the meet will each get a Walton Home Appliance.
RB Group executive director of SM Zahid Hasan will inaugurate the meet, organised by Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation.
