At least 13 more people including three students and madrasha teacher were killed and four others injured in series of road accidents in Sirajganj, Khulna, Brahmanbaria and Narsingdi districts on Thursday.
In Narayanganj, two of a family including mother and daughter were killed and one critically injured when a passenger bus hit a motorbike at Sonargaon upazila of the district.
The accident occurred around 8.30pm on Thursday. Identities of the deceased couldn’t be known immediately.
In Manikganj, two Motorcycle riders including Father and Son were killed when a bus hit them at the Pukoriya bus stand of the district.
The deceased were identified as Md. Obidullah, 35, and his son Md. Abdullah.
In Sirajganj, Hridoy, 17, a student of Dhukuria Technical College and son of Haidar Ali of Bhadraghat village in Kamarkhand upazila, was killed and two others injured as a covered van hit them in the morning.
The accident took place around 7:30 am when the chemical-laden covered van hit three pedestrian, leaving Hridoy killed on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were taken to Sirajganj Hospital, said Habibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kamarkhand Police Station.
Soon after the accident, the agitated people set the covered van on fire and also put up barricade in the road, disrupting traffic movement for around two hours.

On information, police went to the spot and brought the situation under control, said the OC. In Khulna, Akhi Moni, 7, a class I student of a local madrasah was killed when a brick-laden tractor knocked down her while she was crossing road at Anandanagar in Rupsha upazila in the morning.
Zakir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Rupsha Police Station, said Akhi met the tragic incident while crossing the road.
In Narsingdi, Rabbi Mia, a class VIII student of Hossainpur Pilot High School and son of Farid Mia, was killed when a Dhaka-bound covered van hit his bi-cycle while he was going to school at Boroicha in Belabo upazila around 10:00 am.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Shibpur Itakhola Highway police.
In Brahmanbaria, Kadir Mia, 37, son of Syed Mia of Boishar village in Sarail upazila was killed and two others injured when a truck plunged into a roadside ditch after being hit by a lorry on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Bertala in the morning.
Mohammad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Khatihata Highway Police, said the accident took place when the truck collided head on with the lorry coming from opposite direction and fell into the ditch.
The injured were taken to local hospital, he added.
In Dhaka, a madrasha teacher named Abdur Razzak was killed when an oil tanker lorry rammed him in Kalyanpur Bus stand area of the city early Thursday.
The accident took place around 4:15am.
The deceased was Abdur Razzak from Meherpur district was a madrasha teacher.
The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze afterwards, said Md. Abdul Hamid, Assaistant Director of district Fire Service.
In Kurigram, a minor child named Anarul Haque,5, was killed in a road accident at East Khashipur under Fulbari upazila of the district. The deceased Anarul was the son of one Abu Sayeed from the same village.
Khondoker Fuad Ruhani, Officer in-Charge (OC) of Fulbari Police confirmed the news media.
In Tangail, a minor student named Asadul was killed when an auto rickshaw rammed him at Pachtokri area under Gatail upazila of the district.
In Natore, a driver of easyvike named Md. Rafik Hossain, 40, was killed when a tractor hit him in Sadar upazila of the district.
Md.Akbar Ali, Sub inspector of the Sadar Police said.
