Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin disclosed that separate schools for autistic children will be established in city very shortly.
He said it while addressing the discussion meeting on World Autism Awareness Day yesterday as chief guest. City Mayor said there should be a separate environment for autistic children and this environment not existing in the exiting city corporation schools. He further said a specific quotas for autistic children will be preserved in city corporation schools for the time being.
Chittagong District administration and District Social Service Department jointly arranged the meet to observe the Day at LGED auditorium in the city .
Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mesbahuddin presided over it. Among others Minister for Housing & Public Works Engr. Mosharaf Hossain, State Minister for Land Ministry Saifuzzaman Chowdhury MP , Nazrul Islam Chowdhury MP, Abu Reza Md. Nezamuddin Nadvi, Wasica Ayesha MP, Didarul Alam MP and Sabiha Nahar spoke on the occasion as special guests .
