Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) umpire Afzalur Rahman Masum has passed away (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajiun) on Wednesday morning.
Masum died of a cardiac arrest at his residence, as various BCB sources have confirmed the matter.
The veteran match official had attended the Fazr prayer in the morning, as usual, but soon after he had a stroke, and was transferred to Ayesha Memorial Hospital from his residence in the Mohakhali DOHS, as the doctors there, announced him dead on arrival.
His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Mohakhali DOHS Jamia Mosque after Asr prayers on Wednesday.
