Senior journo Sha Abdul Mutalib passes away

Prominent journalist of the district and freedom fighter Sha Abdul Mutalib died of old age complications at his village home at Bairaura under Netrakona sader upazila last night.
His family sources said, he was 85. He left behind his wife, one son , one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was associated with different socio-cultural organizations. He worked as Netrakona district correspondent of different national newspapers including Daily Sangbad.
The body of the senior journalist was taken to Netrakona press club at noon where his colleagues and leaders of different socio-cultural and political organizations including deputy commissioner Netrakona Main-UL-Islam and general secretary of Netrakona press club Shamolendu Paul paid last respect to him by placing floral wreaths on his coffin.  
The Namaj-e-Janaza of the deceased was held at Bairaura Jam-e-mosque premises after the Johr prayer today. A large number of people including freedom fighters, political leaders, journalists and civil society members joined the Janaza.
Later, he was laid to rest at his family graveyard at the village Bairaura with state honor.
