Senior journo of Purbodesh passes away

Senior Sub-Editor of the Daily Purbodesh Sanjoy Mohajon Kollol died on Wednesday afternoon at the age of 43. He left behind his mother, wife, a son, a daughter, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. The untimely death of Kollol cast a pall of gloom in the area of journalist’s community.
Kollol fell sick while returning to his home from his work place the daily Purbodesh on July 28 and admitted to a private hospital. He was shifted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Tuesday morning where he died around 2:30 pm. His body was brought to Chattogram Press Club premises this afternoon where his fellow journalists paid homage by placing wreaths at his coffin.
He was cremated at his native village Enayetpur under Hathazari upazila of the district . Sanjoy Mohajon Kollol also worked in the Daily Purbokone, Suprovat Bangladesh and the daily Kaler Konto.
Meanwhile, President of Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) Nazim Uddin Shyamol and General Secretary (GS) Hasan Ferdous, Chittagong Press Club president Kalim Sarwar and GS Shuklal Das, Vice President of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Reaz Haider Chowdhury expressed deep condolence at the death of Kollol .
