Mintu Bose, veteran journalist, freedom fighter, dramatist, director, writer of Barisal, passes away on Tuesday night suffering from elderly disease.
His dead body cremated at Barisal Maha Shamshan Ghat on Wednesday afternoon.
He was 71 and left wife, Indian expatriate only daughter and a lot of friends and followers.
Before cremation of his dead body was brought to Kheali Group Theatre, Barisal Press Club, Muktijoddha Sangsad and put on Central Shaheed Minar ground of the city for paying homage of citizens on Wednesday morning to noon.
A team of police forces gave him state salute as freedom fighter on Shaheed Minar in presence of a lot of representatives from administration, people from all walks of life.
