Journalist Atier Rahman Atik died at a hospital in the city on Saturday night. He was 72.
Atik, also a senior member of the Jatiya Press Club and a freedom fighter, breathed his last at Evercare Hospital around 10 am.
He had been suffering from various old age complications.
Atik’s namaz-e-janaza was held at the Jatiya Press Club after Zuhr prayers.
