The Trust Bank 13th National Senior and Junior Taekwondo competition will begin on Friday (Dec. 26) at the National Sports Council (NSC) Gymnasium with the participation of 24 districts, associations, clubs and universities across the country.
Adjutant General of Bangladesh Army Major General M Mahfuzur Rahman is expected to inaugurate the two-day meet as the chief guest at 11 am. Lee Yun-Young, Ambassador to South Korea in Dhaka will present as the special guest.
Some 350 participants – 200 of men and 150 of women – will compete in the four events of 26 weight categories. The budget of Taka 9,11,000.00 has been estimated to run the meet, organized by Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF).
In this regards, a press conference was held today at the NSC gymnasium to give all the details of the meet.
