A seminar on ‘Developing Tourism and Hospitality Industry in Bangladesh: Scoping the Role of Banking & Financial Institutions’ was held at Prof. Dr. Mohammad Habibullah Conference Hall at the Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University (DU) yesterday . The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of DU organised this seminar.
Presided over by Departmental Chairman Dr. M. Badruzzaman Bhuiyan the seminar was addressed by State Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali, MP as Chief Guest and Dean of DU Faculty of Business Studies Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam and Managing Director of Rupali Bank Ltd Md. Ataur Rahman Prodhan as special guests. Deparmental Assistant Prof Mohammad Shoeb-Ur-Rahman presented the key-note paper in the seminar. The function was also addressed by Prof Dr Md. Afjal Hossain and Prof. Dr. Mojib Uddin Ahmed of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of DU as guests of honor.
Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali MP said, Bangladesh has enormous potentials at tourism sector.
