Seminar on ‘Swami Vivekananda Jibon Dorshon o Shikha Vabna’ at JnU

The Jagannath University Vivekananda Schooling and Cultural Centre hosted a seminar titled ‘Swami Vivekananda Jibon Dorshon o Shikha Vabna’ at the university central auditorium on Monday, in commemoration of the arrival of Swami Vivekananda at JnU.
JnU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mizanur Rahamn was present as chief guest while Dr Aminul Islam, Professor of the department of Philosophy of Dhaka University was present as special speaker in the programme.
“His message of oneness is vital in today’s age where religion is increasingly used by misguided and radical elements to create divisions among people and spread hatred. Thorough Vivekananda’s idea of spiritual oneness that we can seek to promote peace and harmony in the world”, VC Professor Dr Mizan said in his speech.
JnU Political Science Department Chairperson Professor Dr Arun Kumar Goswami, Associate Professor of Math Department of DU Dr Chandranath Podder, Assistant-secretary of Ramkrishno Mission Swami Sthirattmanandajee Moharaj, JnU BCL President FM Shoriful Islam, General Secretary SM Sirajul Islam, among others, were also spoke in the programme.
JnU Vivekananda Schooling and Cultural Centre President Dr Ashoke Kumar Shaha presided over while JnU acting Chief Engineer Shukumar Chandra Shaha conducted the programme.
Later, a scholarship awarded programme among the meritorious students of JnU and a colourful cultural programme were also held, which featured singers and dancers performing routines that were inspired by and dedicated to the memory of Vivekananda.
