A seminar titled ‘Globalization, Capitalism and Rural Transformation in Bangladesh: Beyond Polarization and Confrontation’ was held at ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) on Thursday. Department of Applied Sociology, ASAUB has organized the seminar. Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Helal uz Zaman, Treasurer and Vice-Chancellor In-Charge of ASAUB was present as the chief guests while Prof. Dr. Abu Daud Hasan, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences presided over the program. Prof. Dr. HKS Arefin, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the European University of Bangladesh, and an eminent Anthropologist delivered the Keynote Speech in the seminar.
Sheikh Md. Razab Ali has delivered the welcome speech in the seminar.
The programme was launched by Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman, eminent economist and Chairman of the PKSF.
After the seminar, a panel discussion was held by distinguished scholars from different universities and research organizations.
