Seminar on ‘Non-Muslims Rights’ held at IU

A day-long PhD seminar titled ‘The Rights of Non-Muslim Citizens in Islamic State during the Rule of Kholafayee Rashedin’ was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday.
Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies Department of Islamic University arranged the seminar at the seminar room of Theology and Islamic Studies faculty on the campus.
Theology and Islamic Studies faculty dean Professor Dr M Solaiman addressed the seminar as the chief guest while Professor Dr Syed Maksudur Rahman, chairman of the department, was in the chair.
Professor Dr M Mostafizur Rahman and Professor Dr M Shafiqul Islam of the department delivered the speech at the event as the discussants attended by around 20 teachers of the various department of the university including Professor Dr Yaqub Ali and Professor Dr A B M Zakir Hossain of the Al-Quran and Islamic Studies Department and Professor Dr M Moinul Haque of the Al-Hadith department.
While addressing the seminar, M Abdul Zabbar, a PhD fellow of the same department, discussed in his research papers about the Non-Muslim’s rights in the Islamic state under the supervision of the Professor Dr Akhter Hossain of the same department.
