Seminar on management accounting education at ULAB

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) and ULAB School of Business (USB) of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a seminar titled “Management Accounting Education for a Challenging Career” on July 10, 2018 at ULAB Auditorium.
Prof HM Jahirul Haque, Vice Chancellor of ULAB graced the occasion as chief guest. Mohammed Salim FCMA, President, ICMAB; Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, Secretary, ICMAB and Dr Nikhil Chandra Shil FCMA, Academic Consultant ICMAB were present in the seminar as the Guests of Honor. The seminar was chaired by Professor Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the Board of Trustees and Dean of ULAB School of Business.
Speakers at the seminar discussed about the necessity of professional degrees in addition to academic degrees for accelerating career success.
Education system of ICMAB was also briefed along with the membership profile to motivate the audience. Bringing some successful indicators of Bangladesh which is undergoing rigorous development initiatives, the speakers presented the potentials of professional accountants in coming days. Students were engaged in an informal networking with the speakers at the end of the seminar which reflected their keenness with the professional education.
Wazir AF Ahmed, Assistant Professor and Director of BBA Program; Mazrukh Rohan, Senior Lecturer of ULAB School of Business, ICMAB’s Director of Academic Affairs Nazmus Salehin, Deputy Director and Head of Education Department Abdul Maleque, and Md. Nayim-Uz-Zaman, Assistant Director of Education Department of ICMAB were also present in the session.
