A seminar on ‘ Literature of Jibanananda Das’ organized by the Department of Bengali of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur was held at Heyat Mamud Bhaban on the campus.
Head of Department of Bengali and Dean of Faculty of Arts of BRUR Professor Dr. Abu Saleh Mohammad Wadudur Rahman (Tuhin Wadud) presided over the seminar held on the twelfth instant.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Md. Hasibur Rashid attended the seminar as the chief guest while Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Sarifa Salwa Dina was present as a special guest, reports BSS.
Associate Professor of Parimal Mitra Smriti College at Jalpaiguri in West Bengal of India Pankaj Kumar Sarkar was present as a speaker on the occasion. He discussed on the topic “Jibanananda Das: Controversy and Surprise” in the seminar.
