Faculty of Law of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organized a seminar on ‘Law and Conventions on Carriage by Air: an Endeavour to Focus on Bangladesh Position’ at the International Conference Hall of the University campus at Rupnagar, Mirpur-2 in the city on Saturday.
Prof Md. Abu Saleh, Vice Chancellor, BUBT presided over the seminar. Dr Sayeeda Anju, Professor, Dept of Law, University of Rajshahi presented the keynote speech. She explained the security and compensation issues of the airways and she explicated the relations between international conventions and the local Laws. She said that our government should adopt international conventions to our domestic laws, if we want to secure passenger’s rights.
Prof Santi Narayan Ghosh, Director, IQAC-BUBT spoke at the seminar. Barrister Saifur Rahman, Special Officer (Additional District Judge), Supreme Court of Bangladesh discussed the issues. The welcome speech delivered by Dr Syed Sarfaraj Hamid, Dean, Faculty of Law. Advisor, Students Affairs, Deans, Controller of Examinations, Chairmen, Proctor, Teachers and students were present in the seminar.
