Seminar on job prospect for real estate graduates

Campus Report :Speakers at a seminar said, real estate graduates have immense employment opportunity not only in Bangladesh, but also in the global market. About 25, 000-30,000 posts are still vacant in Bangladesh in this sector. So the graduates of this department get employment just after completion the graduations. They said these while speaking at the seminar on “Career Windows for Real Estate Graduates” at Daffodil International University (DIU) recently. They also said, 44 percent people in the capital are still deprived from housing facilities, which is very alarming for the country. Real estate companies provide housing facilities only for 14 percent people of upper class society. They stressed on to properly utilize the `Urban Hydro Ecological’ facilities for sustainable city life. Department of Real Estate of Daffodil International University organized the seminar on “Career Windows for Real Estate Graduates” at DIU Auditorium. Md. Yeasin Ali, Chairman, House Building Finance Corporation of Bangladesh was present in the seminar as chief guest. Presided over by Prof Dr M Zakir Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, the seminar was addressed by Prof Dr M. Mizanur Rahman, Treasurer, DIU and Sheikh Abdur Rahim, Head, Department of Bachelor of Real Estate. The speakers also said, Bangladesh is a small country of 1, 44,000 square kilometers of land with 160 million people. Urbanization is expanding tremendously and to meet the growing demand of shelter, Real Estate graduates can play a vital role. They urged the students to up hold humanities and social values in their real life situation. Addressing as the chief guest Md. Yeasin Ali urged the students to realize the present scenario of real estate sector and to contribute to mitigate the problems with innovative ideas and serve the nation acquiring proper education.
