The Center for Archeological Studies (CAS) of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) hosted a seminar on “New Insights on Mahasthan Archaeology and History” by eminent archaeologist Dr. Jean-Francois Salles, former Director of French-Bangladesh Joint Venture Archaeological Excavations Project at Mahasthan was held on Monday in ULAB auditorium in the city.
Sophie Aubert, the Ambassador of France in Bangladesh was present in the seminar.
Mahasthangarh represents Pundranagara, the earliest urban center of Bangladesh, is located in Bogra district.
ULAB Provost Prof Brian Shoesmith delivered his welcome speech. The seminar concluded with vote of thanks by Prof Shahnaj Husne Jahan, Director of CAS, ULAB. Heads of all departments; professors; faculty members and admin members were present at the seminar.
