A seminar, titled ‘Increase Productivity for Sustainable Development’, will be held in the city on Thursday marking the National Productivity Day 2014.
National Productivity Organization (NPO) under the Industries Ministry will host the seminar to be held at the CRIDAP auditorium.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will attend the seminar as the chief guest while President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed as special guest.
Registrar of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Prof Dr AKM Masud will present a keynote paper in the seminar, which will be chaired by Industries Secretary M Mainuddin Abdullah.
NPO Director Dr M Nazrul Islam and Joint Director Abdul Baqui Chowdhury will also spoke at the seminar.
A rally will also be brought out in the city marking the National Productivity Day, which will parade key streets starting from the National Press Club. Similar programmes have been taken up in all 64 districts of the country to mark the day.
