Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering of Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur Cantonment organized a seminar on Thursday to highlight the present status of Bangladesh’s nuclear energy status and development of skilled manpower.
Architect Yeafesh Osman, Minister of Science and Technology spoke as the chief guest of the seminar.
In his address, the Yeafesh highlighted the present government’s strategic plans for the development of nuclear power in the country. Implementation of these plans of the government require the creation of skilled nuclear engineers.
For this purpose, he emphasized on organizing regular seminars, workshops and training courses. Nuclear Science and Engineering Department of MIST was praised for organizing such a seminar.
Abul Kalam Azad, Chief Coordinator of SDG Affairs, was also present as special guest.
