A seminar titled ‘Transformative Development of Bangladesh and the Advancement of Women’ was held at Bangabandhu Auditorium of Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Rabab Fatima presented a keynote paper in the seminar, highlighting the country’s development achieved in different sectors, including economic, education and business, said an official press release here on Tuesday.
She particularly focused on the current status of the country’s women and their empowerment.
Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (APLFS) President Haruko Komura and officials of different embassies in Japan were present in the seminar where more than 100 Japanese and APLFS members joined.
