Japanese investors can invest more in Bangladesh as the country is ensuring all sorts of facilities to attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), observed speakers at a seminar in Tokyo on Tuesday.
“Bangladesh is providing different incentives to the foreign investors by adopting an easy investment policy,” M Abul Kalam Azad, chief coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office, told the seminar.
The seminar on “Bangladesh Investment” was held at the headquarters of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) in Tokyo, said a press release on Wednesday.
Bangladesh Embassy in Japan organised the seminar to project the existing investment environment in Bangladesh before the Japanese business community.
Azad urged the Japanese investors to invest in Bangladesh, saying there is a big market and huge potentiality in the country.
Among others, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam, Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin were present at the seminar.
