On the occasion of coming Eid, Tania Ahmed has made a special play titled Babar Juta to telecast on Channel i. Kuntal Barua is well known to Tania.
Tania heard stories of ups and down in life of Kuntal. Masum Shahriar has written story of the play from that story.
National Film Award winner actor Shahiduzzaman Selim acted in role of father in the play while Allen Shuvro acted in role of his son. Safa Kabir played in a special role in the play. Till tomorrow shooting of the play was done in three days.
While talking about acting in this play Shahiduzzaman Selim told this correspondent, “Story of Babar Juta is a social story based play. It is also very much touchy and emotional story based play. I have liked its story. Tania tried her level best to give direction of the play.”
While talking about making the play Tania Ahmed said, “Now many plays are being made to focus with various social aspects. Babar Juta is like that type. Life story of Kuntal Barua was tried to portray in the story of the play. Basically, its story is absolutely different. So I believe viewers will enjoy the play. Selim Bhai is a dynamic actor. He played successfully in role of father in the play. Safa was also outstanding in her role. It has really become a nice work. I am very much optimistic about this play.”
“It is totally exceptional story based play. I enjoyed a lot to work under Tania Apu’s direction in this play. I believe viewers will watch present time’s scenario in this play.”
It is noted that Amitabh Ahmed Rana worked as chief assistant of director Tania Ahmed in this play.
